Product Review: Natural Home Air Freshener (Lavender Vanilla) by Amare Terra

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

This is a natural air freshener that uses essential oil as well as a natural deodorizer. Since there are no nasty chemicals in the product, it helps keep people free from headaches associated with smelling those chemicals while giving the home a fresh smell.

I sprayed this right before I went to bed usually because Lavender tends to make me so relaxed I sometimes fall asleep (which is good when I need the sleep). Because of that I choose not to spray it in my car (it is supposed to be a home air freshener anyway). I don't recall getting a headache when I sprayed it, so that was good. The scent was wonderful...I love the Lavender Vanilla smell, and it was relaxing!

I was amazed that this wonderful air freshener uses essential oil and to learn that the 2.5 oz bottle is supposed to give 400 sprays!

Product Review: LED Candle With Moving Wick by Maison Luxuries

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

I love the way this LED Candle works! After I put in the batteries I just flipped the switch on the bottom. There is mode for a timer and also a mode that will continuously keep the candle on (until the batteries run out). The candle I received also came with a remote control to turn the candle on and off (the way it worked for me is that it had to be turned on first before I could use the remote to turn it on and off).

I have anxiety when lighting candles so this candle has been perfect for me! I use it a lot when I listen to Bible studies online; it is not bright enough to light up the whole room enough to be able to read, but I do not think any candle is...wax or LED. What I like is to have the room lights on while reading the Bible and to have this LED candle on when I listen to commentary after reading a section of the Bible.

It really does look like a real candle to me most of the time (the wick kind of looks real to me at times but I don't think anything will be able to come close to a real candle wick); I like how it gives a soft-light look and feel to a room at night.

Product Review: Hand Painted Wine Glasses by Valentina Paris

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

My first reaction to these hand painted wine glasses by Valentina Paris when I took them out of the box was that they were huge! They can probably fit 50% of a bottle of wine in each one. They have beautiful artwork on them and are not supposed to be put in the dishwasher. They are great for many different special occasions, such as weddings, housewarming, bachelor, host gift, etc.

I love looking at these glasses on our dining room table, whether they are filled or not. Since I cannot drink a large amount of alcohol, I filled about one eighth of the glass up with alcohol on some days. On other days, I poured grape juice in the alcohol, and on other days I just filled them about one fourth full of just juice. I think it would be great to use one of these glasses in between a husband and a wife at dinner and have them share.

Before I learned that it is not recommended to put these glasses in the dishwasher, I had washed them that way so they would be clean when I tested them out. I laid them down sideways since they would get hit by the rotating blade in the dishwasher if I didn't. I was lucky and nothing happened to them but I really want to caution people to not put these beautiful pieces of art in the dishwasher if they are at risk for being damaged by doing that.

Product Review: Business Card Holder with RFID Protection by Beauty in Business, LLC

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

This business card holder will hold business cards and ID's. It even has RFID protection to protect thieves from obtaining your credit card information. It has a stylish large flower with rhinestones design that is sure to help you find it easier in a purse or bag. It can also be put on a desk at work or at home to keep handy when cards, ID's, and/or credit cards need to be kept handy.

I like that I have some of my business cards and ID's in one place in my purse now and that they don't take up space in my wallet. To be honest, it felt like it added about 5 pounds (although that is probably an exaggeration) to the weight of my purse. That is a small price to pay for some people to protect credit card and other information if they have no RFID protection and/or need to keep a bunch of business, credit, and ID cards together.

Instead of using this card holder in my purse (because I am not able to handle much extra weight in it right now) I will probably store my business cards and ID's I don't use very often in it and store it in a safe place. I might also decide to use it in the future to keep more important items handy on a desk or to store all of my credit cards and ID's in at once that contain RFID chips in them. And I think I might use it to carry all my RFID cards and ID's with me that I need when I go out of town also. It has many different applications...

Product Review: Glass Water Bottle by Calibre Products, Ltd.

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

I think I remember my first thought of this Glass Water Bottle as being "That looks like a bottle people would take camping with them". Since it is a glass bottle it is heavier than most (and maybe all) plastic bottles, but I think it's healthier for the environment. It is advertised as having 100% no contamination from PBs and BPAs or nasty metallic / plastic tastes. It can be put in a backpack, a cup holder in some vehicles, and is heat resistant up to 400 degrees Celsius. It can be reused again and again. I washed this Glass Water Bottle in the dishwasher before I used it. It did well in my dishwasher; none of the materials on the bottle melted or anything.

I used the blue bottle on some of my journeys to and from work. It fit nicely in the cup holder I have between the driver and passenger seat in my car. I tried to use a straw inside of the bottle first and it floated down; the straw was still easily accessible, I just needed to take the cap off to get it. So after that I started to drink it straight from the bottle without the straw, and took off the top cap of the bottle to do so. I could have drank straight from the cap because there is a way to flip part of the top up to drink but I do better with taking the cap off of bottles for some reason, which is why I decided to do it that way. The top kept crumbs from getting into the water, which usually happens when I bring plastic bottles with no caps into my car to drink on the road.

Product Review: Women's White Apron - Retro Style - Size Medium by Plum Hill

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

This Women's White Apron is made of cotton and comes with ruffled cap sleeves and edging, two deep utility pockets, and pleated bib styling. It can be hung up on a hook or even draped over a chair when not being used and washes easily with white clothes. It is great for everyday cooking in the kitchen! It has a British-era style to it.

This apron is a nice addition to my new cooking wardrobe! At first it didn't seem like me. After I washed it and ironed it I got more used to it. It seemed to fit my body better and was less bulky; it is a medium size. To put it on I put it over my head and in between the apron crossover ties, tied the ties, and it was ready for me to cook in. The two pockets can be used to carry a digital thermometer, a timer, or anything else needed that will fit in there. It did a great job of protecting the front of the clothes I wore when I cooked in it!

Product Review: 5 Piece Knuckle Ring Variety Pack by Cornucopia Brands

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

These are what they say they are...rings for the knuckles (or above the knuckles in some cases). Some of the rings in this 5 piece package are sparkly and some do not have sparkles, like the rings that I think are intended for the pinky fingers. They could really probably be worn with most (and maybe all) female outfits.

I found a finger that each of these five rings would fit on, although some of the rings wouldn't always stay in place. Some of the rings went a little bit below my knuckles, then I realized they probably belonged on other fingers! They do seem to brighten up my hands, which sometimes are redder than I would like them to be in places.

Knuckle rings were popular in the past during the Renaissance. They are a great conversation starter because like me, I didn't know what they were before I learned about them through Cornucopia Brands, and there are probably many people who are not aware of them.

Product Review: 100% Pure Peppermint Oil by GoPURE

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

Peppermint has various uses, such as being used in foods, tea, and chewing gum.  It also can be used in aromatherapy and offers warming and cooling properties. There is a sharp and penetrating scent from the high level of menthol in this product, because of this I believe it has therapeutic uses, such as helping the respiratory system. (This Peppermint Oil should only be used in moderation because it is stronger and more concentrated than what is found in food products).

The scent of this Peppermint Essential Oil in my aromatherapy machine was kind of strong at times, which I didn't mind because I like the smell of Peppermint. It is also supposed to be energizing, invigorating, and stimulating. I think I received all three of those benefits because I think it gave me energy to study and my respiratory system was stimulated when using it in aromatherapy.

I loved the dropper that came with the bottle also, making it easy to get the drops of the oil into the dropper and into my aromatherapy machine.

Product Review: Solana Adjustable Wood Desk Easel with Drawer by US Art Supply

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

This Solana Adjustable Wood Easel is adjustable and can be used with art and canvas prints up to 11 x 14 inches. There is a drawer with latches on this easel and it pulls open to store various art accessories and supplies. It easily folds up when it is not being used and is easily storable. It also is small enough to put on a desk for constant use in working position.

I have loved using this Adjustable Wood Desk Easel! First of all, it was easy to use; I just took it out of the box, stood the stand upright, adjusted the stand into position and it was ready to use as soon as I wanted to!  It made painting easier for me because the stand put my paper upright and steady.  The stand adjusts to different positions and the stand tray can hold other items on it (under paper and canvases), like paper to keep a desk and other surfaces the easel is used on from getting paint on them. There is a drawer included with three compartments where accessories and supplies of mine are now stored, such as paint brushes, a palette, pencil, pencil sharpener, eraser, etc. When I was done painting the stand on this easel also gave the pictures a place to dry!

This has definitely been fun for me to use and has kept the frustration out of trying to keep my paper still during painting; it has also given me a place to store some of my art supplies!

Product Review: Stainless Steel Cups: 16 oz Pint by Practico Outdoors

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

These stainless steel cups / 16 oz pint glasses contain no BPA or toxins. They are durable, strong, and recyclable. They are also electropolished, to provide protection against rust. They are also supposed to be stackable.

I decided to use these cups to swish the water around in my mouth after I brushed my teeth; they worked well for me for that purpose.

I decided not to stack them because when I received them they were hard to get apart; that could of been because of the plastic between the cups for shipping purposes though and they might have been easy to get apart without the plastic in between them if I had decided to stack them.

They also matched well on the sink I used them on. I rotated them out when the cup I was using looked too dirty and switched it with the clean cup. I think I have washed both of them at least twice and they have stayed rust-free.

Product Review: Bamboo Charcoal Soap by SAPO

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

I have to admit I didn't know what to expect from a Charcoal Soap but I was excited about using it because this Charcoal Soap is supposed to help with eczema, which I have flare-ups with sometimes. I used it in the shower and put in on a kind of a big red spot on my leg that looked liked and felt like it was eczema or becoming eczema. Within days of using this soap the big red spot was gone. I also used it on my arms, which I have had no problems with eczema with, and on my hands, which I have had problems with eczema with. The redness and dryness on my hands didn't go away but I think it has helped my skin to be less sensitive to eczema breakouts. It was hard to tell if some of the redness and dryness on my hands was being caused by washing my hands too much, which I am prone to do. I think my skin is less dry then it usually starts getting at this time of year, so I think this soap helped my hands to be less dry.

I love the smell of this soap! From looking at it I didn't think it would smell or look the way it does while I used it. The soap was black on my skin but lathered up kind of clear; the color kind of disappeared as it lathered up. I didn't really notice one type of smell of the soap, which is probably because it combines different natural ingredients: Activated Bamboo Charcoal, Coconut Oil, Grapefruit Essential Oil, Olive Oil, Palm Oil, Sunflower Oil, Safflower Oil, Shea Butter, Sea Salt, Oatmeal Powder. I have tried keeping this bar of soap out of water too; after using it about 2-3 weeks I still have about half a bar of it left!

People who do not like unnatural chemicals in their soap will probably appreciate this Bamboo Charcoal Soap since it is all natural!

Product Review: Car Garbage Bag by Rhino Car Gear

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

This Car Garbage Bag by Rhino Gear is meant to be placed (hung) behind the front passenger seat. It is a nice-looking, leak-proof black bag that helps get rid of trash odors and stains, keeping messes to a minimum!

This Car Garbage Bag hangs securely on the passenger seat of my car. Instead of placing it facing backward, towards the backseat, I decided to place it facing towards the front window in the front seat because it is usually just me that travels in the car and it is easier for me to put items I want thrown away in it that way. Although the bag is leak-proof, I decided to put a plastic bag in it to try to keep it clean as long as a I can. The bag velcros shut so odors are concealed.

Before I usually kept a plastic bag full of trash I used most days on the floorboard of the passenger seat so this Car Garbage Bag gives me a place to put that trash now, without it being in plain sight. It is definitely a way to keep a vehicle looking nicer on the inside!

Product Review: Digital Meat Thermometer by Alpha Grillers

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

I didn't think about temping any of the food I cooked before I started my current job...if it looked done to me, it was done! Since I temp cold and hot food throughout the day, I started to get used to it. So, I am VERY glad to be able to try this digital meat thermometer from Alpha Grillers because I was feeling lost without a digital thermometer to use at home!

The thermometer comes on very quickly. You just touch the power on/off button. From there I made sure the thermometer was clean before I stuck it in food and it temped it within seconds!

I didn't just temp meat but I also temped vegetables, pizza, and...coffee. Using this thermometer helped me to come to the realization that when I reheat vegetables in the microwave they might look hot after a certain amount of time but if they don't get up to a certain temperature they aren't hot enough! So, that made me understand that I need to heat the vegetables longer!

If you need help with what temperatures certain meats are supposed to be the quick reference meat temperature guide printed on the thermometer will help you.

When the thermometer isn't being used, it fits nicely back into the case it came with!

Product Review: Garden Hand Rake by LifeWell Technologies

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

I used this Garden Hand Rake in one of the flower areas in our yard to plant some new flowers recently. I know it might be too late in the season to plant flowers and they might not come up until next spring (if the seeds survive) but it was fun to plant them anyways with the help of this rake. This rake was easy to grasp and move and it easily pulled apart the dirt in the different places I planted, so that I could disperse the seeds into the ground. It was easy to put the dirt back where it was when I used this rake to do that also. The dirt amazingly came off of this rake very easily when I was done planting, I just sprayed it with my garden water sprayer.

In the future I hope to grow a small vegetable garden. If I end up doing that I know this rake will help me dig deep enough to be able to plant seeds in the ground for that! The bright green handle will most likely get my attention in my garage often so I can use it for different planting purposes in the future!

Product Review: Artist Paint Brush Set by CubeCraft

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

This is an interesting set of Artist Paint Brushes by CubeCraft! The 15 paint brushes in the set can be used by artists, art students, and children in arts and crafts activities. They are hand crafted and can be used for a variety of different painting strokes. They contain a mixture of fine, natural looking, and synthetic filaments and can be used with acrylic, face, watercolor, gouache paint, etc.

The set includes the following brush types/sizes:

Filbert Brush - Sizes 9, 4
Angle Brush - Sizes 12, 10, 5, 2
Round Brush - Sizes 8, 7, 3, 1, 1/0
Flat Brush - Sizes 11, 6
Fan Brush – Size 0
Rigger Brush – Size 3/0

I used some of these brushes to paint a white ceramic candle I have. They did a great job of distributing colors throughout. They were long enough and wide enough to keep a good grip on and were easy to move back and forth with the brush strokes. The acrylic paint washed out well from the brushes when I dipped them in water, and from what I can tell didn't leave any paint stains on the brushes themselves.

I love the black case these brushes came in, there is a slot for each paint brush. The paint brushes can easily be stored away in it for the next use. I wasn't able to get the stand to stand upward but I don't really need it to do that. I love that the case zippers shut also.

This Artist Paint Brush Set would be great for artists and art students to have and carry around to keep their paint brushes in one place. It is also great to have handy for arts and craft activities!

Product Review: Rosemary Essential Oil by Sun Organic

This Rosemary Essential Oil has an interesting smell to me. I think I remember thinking of this being used in/with some foods when I first saw the bottle. It had a very strong scent when I smelled it straight from the bottle. When I used it in my aromatherapy machine I could smell it at different points when I was in the room it was being used in. One time I went downstairs while it was being used in my aromatherapy machine; at the bottom of the stairs on my way back up I could smell it pretty well, so it must have a stronger aromatherapy smell than I thought.

I learned that the aromatherapy benefits for Rosemary are that it is supposed to be clarifying and invigorating. I do think it may have helped me with clarity when I was using it when I was studying. I don't remember feeling invigorating while using it, but I do think it might have calmed and relaxed me because I think I felt a "mellowed out" feeling while using it.

Product Review: Silicone Egg Poacher Cookware Cups in Vivid Colors by Cornupia Brands

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

These Silicone Egg Poachers (4 pack of vivid colors of purple, orange, pink, and yellow) were interesting to use! I often do not do well with making eggs over hard and over easy (I am more of a scrambled eggs kind of person) so I hoped this product would help me to become better at that.

It took awhile (about a half an hour) for the eggs to cook in these poachers but it could be because I boiled them a little under high heat and a little above medium heat so the water wouldn't boil over. As I boiled some eggs in water using these poachers, they did a good job of making the yolks over hard to me, although there was a small part of the egg yolk that wouldn't cook. I added boiling water to the egg inside the poacher and it looked like it cooked some of the egg yolk that looked raw but there was still a portion that wouldn't cook and I ended up draining as much of the egg yolk as I could.

My cooking project with these egg poachers: The eggs look like they are almost done.
When the eggs were as ready as I think they could have been, I scooped them out with a spoon onto a plate or into a bowl. The eggs were good to me, although I wondered if they were fully cooked since I had just drained some of the egg yolk. Maybe I should have turned the eggs over in the poucher to cook the part of the eggs that looked raw, although I thought it would mess up the way the eggs were supposed to turn out...I might try it that way another time to see if it will cook that small part of eggs that wouldn't cook.

There is still some egg yolk that doesn't look like it is cooked even after I added boiling water inside the poachers.
These egg poachers were easy to wash. I used the scrubby brush to get out the excess egg and put them in the dishwasher on the top rack.

Product Review: Mountain Blend, Medium Roast, Craft Coffee by Greater Goods

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

The purpose of me trying out this Mountain Blend, Medium Roast, Craft Coffee by Greater Goods was so two members of my family could try it out whom of which are coffee drinkers. They seemed to be impressed with how well these K-Pods worked in our Keurig coffee brewer, since they usually put K-Cups in it. One comment was that the pods were convenient. Within seconds, after inserting the K-Pods into the Keurig brewer and the press of a button, the coffee was done brewing and in the coffee mugs, ready to drink. Another comment was that the coffee was good, so to me that means my family members are happy with this coffee!

I also tried this medium roast coffee and added some chocolate and milk to it, because although I am not a straight coffee drinker I like mochas. Adding chocolate and milk to it kind of gave it a hot mocha taste to me; I could still taste a lot of the coffee taste without it tasting like it was a full cup of coffee beans. It also helped to wake me up on the days that I drank it. When I feel like drinking a mocha and need something to make me feel more awake I will most likely remember my experience with this coffee!

I think my family members and I had great experiences with this coffee and I hope a lot of other people will also!

RFID Blocking Sleeves by BLOCKIT RFID Products, Inc. are used to put credits cards and other ID in that use RFID chips. They allow maximum protection of important data because they use 3 layers of construction. There are 6 fashionable color coded designs in a package so it will be easy to locate the cards and IDs you need.

I used these RFID blocking sleeves when I went on a work trip to protect my credit card information; I also used them after my work trip. They fit into my wallet and were easy to locate when I needed to obtain a credit card. I received the yellow and white flower designs so I knew that when I came across these cards with creative designs on them that they each had a credit card in them.

By using these RFID blocking sleeves the worry can go away about thieves obtaining your information through digital picket pocketing.

Product Review: Non-slip Green Luggage Strap and Orange Luggage Tag by ZeeGear

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

This is a neon green luggage strap that will bundle two luggage items together. The luggage tag is neon orange and includes spaces to fill out your important information in case your luggage gets put into someone else's hands on accident; it can be fastened to the handle of a suitcase and other pieces of luggage. The luggage belt is bright green and the luggage tag is bright orange so you can easily notice your luggage when you pick it up later after it is dropped off somewhere. The belt adjusts from 45-80 inches; it also uses a non-slip silicone pad at the end so it can be stretched, this is so the belt won't slip out of position.

I used the neon green strap around one piece of luggage at first and it tightened to fit around it securely. I then tried the strap around two pieces of luggage and it was long enough to fit securely around both pieces. The fastener on the belt snapped securely into place with both pieces of luggage.

The luggage tag was easy to put on and it will help me feel secure in knowing my luggage has an information tag on it, when I fill it out and use it in the future. This is great to have in case it gets lost and is put into the wrong hands; the chances will be better of it making it back into my hands.

This bright luggage belt and tag will help you find your luggage easier because you will notice that the luggage you bundled together with these bright items is yours and someone will not pick up your luggage thinking it is theirs in most cases.

Product Review: Ocean Mineral Tonic by Oz Naturals

Ocean Mineral Tonic by Oz Naturals is meant to be used as a primer for serums but the directions also say it can be used over makeup throughout the day. Some of the main ingredients are Glycolic Acid, MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane), and Vitamin C. The bottle says it is 100% natural with ingredients to aid sun damage on skin, an uneven skin tone, and fine lines.

When I used it on my face, it felt soft and moist. I put it on my face before I put serums or anything else on it. I was using it pretty steady for about a week or so before I left town to go on a work trip. I forgot to bring this and my daily cleanser. Even though I used a facial soap that the hotel provided I could see a difference days after I hadn't had it available to use. My pores started looking unhealthy and my skin looked dry. When I got back into town and started putting this on my skin for about another week the look and the feel of my skin started improving again! I can't say that I didn't have any fine lines after using this product but they do look healthy and are not that noticeable to me.

I had never heard of knuckle rings before I learned about them through this review opportunity. They are what they say they are...rings that fit on your knuckles! This set that I received came with 4 silver rings and 4 brass rings.

The rings come in different sizes so some/most of them are sure to probably fit on at least some fingers! I was able to fit each of the 8 rings on all of my fingers. Depending on what fingers I used them on, some of them fell off of my fingers because they were too loose, while others stayed securely on my fingers. They will most likely be a conversation starter since I do not think a lot of people know about them, even though they have been popular in the past  (back in the Old Renaissance times).

My review= 5 out of 5 stars

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
