Product Review: Doll Clothes and Fabric Paint by DADM

***This review is meant to be read by parents, teachers and anybody else who works with children.***

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

This doll clothes and fabric paint kit is great to help children bring out artistic qualities in them! It comes with a yellow (mustard-like color) hoodie that is made to fit all 18 inch dolls. The paint is green, pink, and orange neon colors. It is supposed to dry in 4 hours, and it is not supposed to be washed for 72 hours after it is painted on.

The kit didn't come with any stencil designs. The package art inspired me to find some stencils with hearts and shapes, so I bought some. The directions explain to prewash the fabric and not use fabric softener (which I did), hold the paint bottle in your hand like a pencil, squeeze gently, and practice on a piece of paper by squeezing a small amount of the paint on it.

My 12-year old niece used this product. After I told her the directions it looked like it was easy for her to use. I had given her some stencils to use but she thought she could do better without them. The paint was a little runny but I think she had fun with it. She is going to take it home with her after it dries.

I think this doll hoodie will make a lot of good memories for children! They can keep it and look back on what they did at the age they were when they created the art on it.

Product Review: Packing Tape by Royal Imports

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

This packing tape from Royal Imports is 2.0 Mil thick and is 2 inches by 110 yards (330 feet). This tape that I am reviewing is a one roll package. It uses an industrial strength adhesive that is made to stay sealed and tightly secured. It can be used for packing boxes and also taping shipping boxes shut.

I tested this product out on a package I taped shut to be shipped. It was easy to use.  I didn't notice the tape splitting when I used it so that is a big plus. I let the package sit overnight and the next day the tape had stayed tightly taped shut and sealed.  My roll didn't come with a place to tear the tape off so I used scissors and curled up the end of the edge where the tape was last used. To me this does look like a huge roll of tape because I have purchased packing tape in the past that either didn't look like it had as much tape on it, or the base to keep the tape on was rounder and made it look like it had less tape on it to me. Note added later in the day (11:07 am Eastern time): I put some more tape on my package before I took it to the post office. The tape split off a little bit. It didn't split off into separate pieces in different directions, just a couple of corners split off . Also, the tape had marks on it after I got it off the roll, which didn't affect anything for me with shipping the package.

I think this packing tape will last me awhile and I am happy that I have it on hand for the next time I need to ship a product!

Product Review: Mighty Plugs by Beneficial Products Inc.

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.
These Mighty Plugs are different than what I thought they would be. They are made of ingredients that look to me like blue putty. The ingredients are said to be natural: pure beeswax, purified lanolin, and sterile cotton. They are supposed to be great to use while swimming and bathing, and for people with minor and major ear problems and all sized ear canals.

I had a hard time wanting to put these ear plugs in my ears because I was concerned that some of the product would break off and fall into my ear canal, since it is kind of like play dough and putty to me. There is a disclaimer on the instruction sheet giving users of this product caution of negligence of use. I do think I felt a deep seal with at least one of my ears after working or kneading the ear plugs as the directions stated. They blocked out of a lot of noise of a mower cutting grass in my neighborhood.

It was interesting to me to use an ear plug product that is said to be made of natural ingredients. I use ear plugs to try to block noise out only so I don't think this product was made for me. I think there are people out there that are (and some that will be) interested in a product such as this that probably already (or will) find it useful. For me, I just want to stick with the foam and silicone ear plugs for now (even though I have heard those are chemically based).

Product Review: RFID Blocking Sleeves by RFID Secure

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

These RFID sleeves protect people from getting their credit card, license, and other ID card information stolen when they use RFID chips. Information can be obtained through digital readers thieves use that can access account numbers, expiration dates, names and other important information. When people place their credit cards with RFID chips in these sleeves, they are able to keep that information secure. There are even a few sleeves in this package to put passports in.

Around the same time I received this product I also received an updated credit card with a new expiration date and you guessed it...an RFID chip. So, this product was put in my hands at the right time. I felt more secure with putting that credit card (and one other credit card I carry around with an RFID chip on it) in these blocking sleeves. It was kind of hard to find a good place for them in my wallet; I ended up putting them with all my loose non-credit cards because I thought the sleeves might get messed up if I put them in the places designated for credit cards. In my opinion, that is a small change for making my credit cards more secure.

Product Review: Pure Harmony Natural Air Freshener by Pure Care

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

This Pure Harmony Natural Air Freshener by Pure Care uses 100% pure essential oils. It is non-toxic and it gives off a light, fresh aroma. Not only does it freshen up a room but it also provides aromatherapy benefits, which give people more energy and feelings of bliss or harmony.

I have wondered how I could get essentials oils into my environment without using a diffuser and I think this Natural Air Freshener has solved that problem for me. I sprayed this product in my car before heading out somewhere and also in some different rooms in my home. I expected this product to come with a strong scent that I have always thought air fresheners came with. This product gave off a very light mist of a scent. Strong scents usually bother me; the scent of this product felt just right for me.

I'm so pleased with this product!

Product Review: 4" Green Wooden Unwired Floral Picks by Royal Imports

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

These floral picks are green, wooded, and unwired. They stand 4" tall. They can be used to provide support to the weaker stems in any floral arrangement or to bundle a few stems. They are also a great way to add arts and crafts to floral arrangements and plants, just find what you want to attach to the pick and add glue, or some adhesive.

These floral picks were interesting to use to add some inspiration to my plants! I have to admit I thought there was going to be some insert to add stuff to the floral pick but I was able to think of another way to add the inspiration, a way that will hopefully keep the items more secure on the stick anyway. Near the top of the unpointed end I attached a card with an inspirational Bible verse to one plant and also a small picture of something related to Scripture to another plant. I put the pointed end into the plant. My plants look more alive to me with this touch of inspiration and art that was made possible with these green, wooden, unwired floral picks!

Product Review: Liquid Chalk Markers (18 count) by Stardom Crafts

***This review is meant to be read by parents, teachers and anybody else who works with children.***

This 18 count package of liquid chalk makers by Stardom Crafts are water based. They are for use on plastic, glass, metal, LED boards, glossy boards, and non-porous surfaces.

They worked great for me on plastic! I had the most success with using them on plastic report covers. Since I am not gifted at drawing I thought I would trace some items, kind of like stenciling. When I traced on napkin covers the markers were not as chalky to me as they were on the plastic report covers, but were more watery. I also colored a white contact lens case so I can tell which is the left and right eyes for my contact lenses (I colored each lid two different colors). One of the colors was not as chalky as the other but I still think that project turned out great! When I traced a picture on a report cover I noticed that about 1/4 of the markers lost their chalkiness. Those came out more watery than chalky.

One of the great things about these markers is that if you mess up you can wipe away your mistakes whether they are wet or dry (I could on the plastic I used anyway). They are also non-toxic. To me they are like dry erase markers for artists and I believe they are also great for teachers!

Product Review: LASHiQ by Nexgen

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

LASHiQ is a natural eyelash growth stimulator. The product claims to increase eyelash density up to 82% in 4 weeks. Eye lashes are supposed to become thicker, darker, fuller, stronger, and longer when following the directions for use. It has no parabens, sulfates, or chemical preservatives. It is to be applied once a day before bedtime.

I had every intention of trying this eyelash product out myself but realized it has vitamin B-12 in it after I received it. I have had some reactions (allergic I think) in the past after using products with that vitamin in it. One of my family members tried it out instead. It has been easy for her to use, she applies it along the base of her upper lashes. She hasn't noticed any thickening or new growth in her lashes yet but she also hasn't had any problems with this product. It doesn't make her eyelids sting and hasn't caused any rashes or anything around the eyelid. She hasn't approached the 30 day mark, which is how long this product needs to work. She is still watching for results of this product.

My review (based on where my family member is with using the product)= 5 out of 5 stars

Product Review: Ocean Mineral Facial Cleanser by Oz Naturals

Ocean Mineral Facial Cleanser by Oz Naturals contain botanicals. It is supposed to soothe and renew skin, and also stimulate cellular regeneration. The package I received the product in says it is 72% organic. I believe that to be true because many different organic ingredients are listed.

Even though I don't get in the water all that much when I do go to the beach, I do love the smell. The smell of this product reminds me of that smell. It is a wonderful smell to me! I used this product in place of my daily cleanser, usually at night but sometimes during the day as well. As I was applying this product on my facial skin, it felt like it was giving it a deep clean. My skin felt like it had been refreshed after I used it, and it feels soft to me. It contains Rose Hip Oil and Vitamin E, so that is probably two of the ingredients in this product that has made my skin feel and look healthy while using it!

I think this is a great product made by Oz Naturals!

Product Review: Silicone Egg Rings by Sunsella

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

This is the first time I remember using egg rings. To be honest, I wasn't quite sure how to use them. The first time I cooked with them I made a some different styles of eggs for the same meal. One egg was over easy, another egg that I attempted to be over easy but the egg starting running and cooked that way, and also one egg scrambled. The first time I used them they did a great job of separating my eggs. When I pushed down the round pin-like arm sticking up from the egg rings they would make indentions in my eggs to keep them in one place.

The second time I used this product I added some onions and bell peppers to my eggs and the egg rings had a harder time keeping the eggs together that time for some reason, even when I pushed the pin-like arm down. The eggs didn't stay over easy from what I remember, probably because of the extra ingredients. I had one scrambled egg with two attempted over easy eggs with this second meal.

So, with my experience I think this product is great for using eggs by themselves without adding many more ingredients to them. Maybe something extra would help keep the eggs in a circle. I did use a lot of onions and bell peppers the second time so that could have been a factor to why they didn't do as well as the first time. I didn't use bacon with this product like the picture in this blog post sort of recommends (I think to keep the eggs in a circle), but if I were to use it in the future I would use turkey bacon.

I wasn't able to get all the egg off of them when I used a scrub brush on them before putting them in the dishwasher, and my dishwasher wasn't able to get it all off either. I was able to wipe the excess egg off with a paper towel though, after they had been through the dishwasher.

Product Review: Writing A to Z: Full Spead Ahead (3 Step Video Training Series) from the Writing Coach

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

Writing A to Z: Full Speed Ahead is a video course offered to assist authors who love writing but don't know where to go from there. The three main parts I could see it broken down into are: finding the audience for your book, what type of publishing to use, and marketing the book once it has been published. I was given web links to access the videos; I'm not sure if they come any other way or not.

I think some of the information in this video series authors need to know before they start writing a book, like what their audience is and the level of writing they need to use to reach those readers. The book gives other important tidbits authors need to know, information that some might not otherwise think about. The first video sounded non-automated to me, and the other two sounded automated. Each video is around 20 minutes and uses slides throughout. I liked how it talks about authors being a part of book blog tours and book signings and that social media is an important outlet for them to market their books. I have been heavily a part of these areas for about the last 4 years since I have done a lot of book reviewing and have been involved in some small ways with book talks, and I know for sure that information is true.

I think this is a very informative video series about some important parts of publishing a book. I think it will help some authors get started, get ready for publishing a book, and get published.

Product Review: Easy Press Clippers by Clearline

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

Easy Press Clippers by Clearline are made with stainless steel, which is not supposed to rust. They are large clippers with a sharp blade to cut through with ease the thickest of nails, and are not supposed to tear them.

I put these clippers through my dishwasher before using them and I cannot see any places where they rusted after being exposed to water, so I believe that they will not rust. In my opinion, these Easy Press Clippers really live up to its name. Once you press on the clippers they are very easy to use. My fingers and toes are small to medium-sized as an adult I think so when I used these clippers at first it kind of amazed me how fast and sharply it cut them. It cut one of my nails at an angle it looked like, more deeper than the nail from what I remember. So, I used the clippers more carefully after that and I was able to cut my nails without going deeper than the nail most of the time. I also didn't notice any tearing of my nails.

If you are used to a smaller set of clippers like I was this product might feel different to you for awhile. It seemed to do a good job of cutting my nails though when I was more careful with it, even though my nails are probably considered small and short. If you have big finger and toenails this product might be more helpful to you than a smaller pair of clippers. It will probably not surprise you as much as I was surprised when they cut more sharper and deeper than my finger and toesnails are used to.

Product Review: Citrus All-Purpose Cleaner by Greenwald's

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

Greenwald's Citrus All-Purpose Cleaner works on tough grease and dirt on countertops, painted areas, floors, walls, etc. It also helps the environment because you are not purchasing a new bottle every time you run out of the product when you use the kit refills. The kit I received had six cleaning liquid "drops" in them, I used one of them to make the first bottle. When I run out of the product I will have five more to make from the kit. So, in the long run it saves money and helps the environment.

The cleaning liquid was easy to make. I put one of the cleaning liquid "drops" into the bottle, added water, waited about a minute, and shook it up. I then had this orange liquid that smelled citrusy when I cleaned with it.

I liked the citrusy smell when I cleaned with this product. It didn't have a chemical smell to me. When I was finished using the product the wonderful scent remained for awhile. The refill kit is easy to store; I think it's great that six bottles are not needed to make six batches of cleaning liquid for this product.

Product Review: Pastry Scraper by Orblue

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

This Pastry Scraper by Orblue is easier to use to me than a knife when I cut a loaf of bread and vegetables. It has a comfortable, non-slip rubber handle, making it easy to keep ahold of while slicing, chopping, and scraping with it. It is easy to clean, just rinse it off and put it in the dishwasher.

I used this product to slice a couple of loafs of cooked bread, although it is supposed to be good for dough also. It cut almost through the loaf of bread once, leaving one small edge of it to be torn apart at the bottom. Another time it cut all the way through a smaller loaf of the same bread, so it must depend on how you hold it to determine if it will cut through the whole loaf of bread or not. I also used it to slice and chop a bell pepper and an onion that I used with my eggs. It took a little time to get the scraper all the way through the vegetables. When I was done slicing and chopping the vegetables with it the pieces were pretty much the right size that I wanted them to be. I am very pleased with this Pastry Scraper, it will most likely be the product I come back to when I need to slice bread and vegetables.

If you are tired of using knives to slice vegetables into fine pieces and want an easier way to get through french bread and other types of bread then this product might be for you!

Product Review: Dry Wet Amphibious Hanger Light Blue ABS by BriaUSA

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

These dry, wet, amphibious light blue hangers were interesting to use! I am used to wired hangers and I have a small amount of plastic store bought ones.

The first thing I remember noticing when putting a pair of my pants on one of these hangers is that it looked like it was only going to hold one pair of pants when I am used to putting two, three, and sometimes maybe even four pairs of pants on one hanger (on top of each other). There is an indention (a part of the hanger that hangs between the top of the hanger and the place where the pants hang) in the hanger and it is really hard to fit more than one or two pairs of pants on it. It took some getting used to but I realized that my closet looks a lot more orderly when I hang one pair of pants on a hanger at a time, so I am glad that I think this product changed me in that way.

These hangers look and feel a lot different than the store bought plastic ones that I was using (borrowing) from a family member, even though they look and feel like plastic as well. To me they do not look like high-end hangers so I am planning on hanging my causal clothes on them, for that purpose they will come in handy.

Some benefits to this product are that it is designed to prevent clothes from slipping, the sturdy steel swiveling design is used for easy maneuvering when it attaches to the shoulders, and the unique s-shaped top is designed to keep clothes wrinkle-free. These hangers are also sturdy, and can be used to hang pants, shirts, jackets, etc.

I am looking forward to adding some of these same hangers in different colors to my closet to hang my causal clothes on.

Product Review: Glass and Hard Surface Cleaner by Greenwald's

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

This glass and hard surface cleaner by Greenwald's was very interesting to use! The liquid for the cleaner is very easy to make. You just add one of the tablets in the package that comes in the kit (the package in the kit I received had 6 tablets) to the bottle, let it sit for about a minute, and gently shake it up. A beautiful blue liquid is then created to clean with! Once you have made the liquid, it can be sprayed on glass, windows, hard surfaces, and showcases. The information on the product bottle explains that it deposits an invisible coating that resists resoiling, fingerprints, and smearing while it also effectively freshens the environment.

I used this on a few mirrors in my home and also on some hard surfaces. I am impressed with how well it cleaned the mirrors! The wet look on the mirrors after spraying the product goes away pretty quickly. Usually by the time I'm finished with the other side of the mirror, the other side I just cleaned is dry, or just about dry. I cleaned one of the mirrors in my home about a week ago and it still looks very clean except for one little spot on the mirror that I might have missed in the first place. The hard surfaces I used this product on also look clean; the cleaner look is just more noticeable on glass to me because mirrors in my home get dirty quickly it seems. I also like the smell. Although I know it filled with chemicals, it doesn't smell like it to me.

It is great that I will be able to make more of this cleaning spray once I run out. I have 5 more refills in my kit left. This product seems like it would be better for the environment because the same bottle is used for refills.
